Hair Care, Skin Care

Exfoliate that shiz!

I’m late to the game of body maintenance knowledge as usual~

Discovered what I thought was only dandruff was actually build up which is something that commonly leads to dandruff! Also discovered that I’ve been having issues with ingrown hair on my legs caused by a buildup of dead skin cells clogging hair follicles. Fek’n build up all over the place!!

First product is for my scalp: Neutrogena Anti-Residue Shampoo ($4.83/bottle via Amazon.) I’m only using it once a week as suggested on the bottle. The stuff smells like a hair salon to me.

NOTE: I did not use my dandruff shampoo because I wanted to see if what I had really was just build up. The only other shampoo and conditioner I used while using this is: Herbal Essences Bio:Renew Rejuvenate Bourbon Manuka Honey Shampoo and Conditioner.

This post follows the second week of using it. First week, I only used it one time during the shower. Neutrogena suggests to rinse and repeat if needed. So this second week, I used it before shampooing and then again before using conditioner. Turned out to be a perfect combo because there is no longer a weird layer of residue on my scalp. I still had flakes clinging to my hair from my previous dandruff attack but the hair dryer solved that issue.

Second product is from my local grocery store: beauty & planet, sugar & rose. Was around $4 so I figured why not give it a go. Stuff smells like someone is smothering your face with roses minus the thorns. It’s been helping though with exfoliating my poor legs.

I do have to scrub pretty hard though to free the follicles from their prisons. And mind you, it kind of hurts when trying to free them. I need to do some research on products best for my legs and shaving them.

If anyone reads this and you have shaving products that you use that work without irritating the skin and leave a nice smooth leg after use, PLEASE, do tell me in the comments!! Thank you, love you!
